Limitations on LVM support in Acronis True Image Echo Server for Linux
This article applies to:
Description
The current version of Acronis True Image Echo supports backup of LVM partitions on systems with 2.6 kernels only. You can create an image of an LVM volume and restore it to a partition or to a previously created volume.
When working from bootable rescue media, it is possible to restore the image of an LVM volume to a regular partition or to an existing LVM volume only. If you are going to restore an LVM volume to a hard drive without LVM, the backup will be restored as a regular non-LVM partition.
More information
You cannot create LVM volumes using Acronis True Image Echo bootable rescue media.
